Ten members of the Plumpyfield network gathered at Nutriset, in Malaunay ( France) for their second international meeting, on October 13th, 14th and 15th: Edesia (USA), Hilina Enriched Foods (Ethiopia), InnoFaso (Burkina Faso), JB Tanjaka Food (Madagascar), Meds & Food for Kids (Haiti), NutriVita Foods (India), Power Foods (Tanzania), Reco Industries (Uganda), Société de Transformation Alimentaire (Niger), Samil Industries (Sudan).

Based in developing countries, these partners manufacture the Plumpy© range of ready-to-use products designed by Nutriset, in particular: Plumpy’Nut®, Plumpy’Sup®, Plumpy’Doz®, and Nutributter®.
Although the initial production output in 2005 was a mere 125 metric tons, the production capacity of the network increased rapidly, producing 7 700 metric tons in 2010, and likely to exceed 11 000 metric tons by the end of 2011. In 2014, the network’s capacity will be upwards of 45 000 metric tons, which corresponds to nearly half of the total worldwide manufacturing capacity of the Plumpy© range of products.
Nutriset's Founder and President, Michel Lescanne reminded all Plumpyfield partners that the aim of the network is to « give the capability for every country to reach its nutritional autonomy ».
With the shared objective of contributing to the fight against malnutrition, the PlumpyField® network also fosters to economic development by establishing and growing an industrial activity which supports the local agricultural sector. By improving access to its nutritional solutions locally, the network creates employment and in doing so contributes not only to the fight against malnutrition, but also to the fight against poverty.
The PlumpyField network is well on its way becoming a real community sharing values, know-how, quality standards, information, and incentives for further innovation.

PlumpyField partners voiced their concerns over the increased costs of agricultural and other raw material inputs required for the production of the nutritional products and hope economic and policy makers will act in consequence.
The network registered the departure of the NGO, Project Peanut Butter ( PPB) from Malawi (member of the network since 2005), its founder and manager Mark Manary preferring to develop independently while maintaining his constructive relationship with Nutriset.
Initiated by Nutriset, PlumpyField network members (by date of entry)include: Société de transformation alimentaire (STA) (Niger, 2005), Hilina Enriched Foods (Ethiopia, 2006), Vitaset (Dominican republic, 2008), Amwili (Democratic Republic of Congo, 2009), NutriVita Foods (India, 2009), JB Tanjaka Food (Madagascar, 2009), Joint Aid Management (JAM) (Mozambique, 2009), Power Foods (Tanzania, 2009), Edesia (USA, 2009), Samil (Soudan, 2011), Reco Industries (Uganda, 2011), Meds & Food for Kids (Haiti, 2011), InnoFaso (Burkina Faso, 2011)
