The French company Nutriset and its network PlumpyField, global contributors to the fight against malnutrition, participate to the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul (Turkey) on May 22nd and 24th 2016. Organized by the United Nations, this first international meeting of its kind gathers over 6,000 participants coming from all areas of the humanitarian sector: governments, United Nations agencies, international organizations, NGOs, municipalities, private sector.

Since 1986, the French company Nutriset and its international network PlumpyField dedicate their industrial innovation, scientific research and responsible entrepreneurship to the global fight against malnutrition.

Leader in the design and production of nutritional solutions for the past thirty years, Nutriset develops products that have become standards such as therapeutic milks F-75 and F-100, ready-to-use foods such as Plumpy’Nut® or Plumpy’Doz™, and supplements from the Enov® range. Nutriset promotes the growth in good health with a range of products to prevent chronic malnutrition of pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and children. In 2014 and 2015, Nutriset products have reached over 12 million children affected by malnutrition.

In 2005, Nutriset initiated PlumpyField®, a unique network of independent entrepreneurs located in countries affected by malnutrition, which manufactures ready-to-use nutritional solutions of the highest international quality used in the treatment and prevention of malnutrition. By sourcing raw ingredients locally and by running an innovative and responsible agro-industrial business, the PlumpyField® partners support the social and economic development of their countries and contribute to nutritional autonomy for all.

By participating to the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, Nutriset wishes to share its expertise and capacity for innovation with all stakeholders of the humanitarian and development sectors: governments, United Nations agencies, international organizations, NGOs, municipalities, private sector. With solutions ranging from the treatment to the prevention of malnutrition, Nutriset is an integral part of the humanitarian response while also committing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. This particularity aligns with some of the key debates and discussions held at the World Humanitarian Summit.

The presence of Nutriset at this ambitious Summit where the global humanitarian intervention is being remodeled, Nutriset is positioned as a dynamic innovative company dedicated to fight malnutrition and advance nutritional autonomy for all, working with the humanitarian community, together for a “shared humanity”.
