This 6th edition of the meeting brought together all members of the network, at Nutriset, in Malaunay (France), on June, 21th and 22th 2019.
For Nutriset, as a franchisor, the event was the opportunity to assess the overall activity of the network with franchisees, reflecting on positive operational matters and areas for improvement, to strengthen good practices and suggest the best support for each member.
This gathering was also the occasion to get an update on the activity of the new members of the PlumpyField® network: Nutriguinée based in Conakry (Guinea) - whose factory container should be inaugurated in the autumn - and NutriK based in Kano (Nigeria).
During this meeting, Plumpyfield® identifies three levers paramount to pursue its key role in the fight against malnutrition: contribution through new services, reduction of current product prices, and promotion of ever more effective solutions to reach all populations vulnerable.
Within the PlumpyField® network, expertise has grown despite daily challenges, but the scaling up is real. In 2018, a threshold of 60 million children cared for with the products manufactured by the network was exceeded. Four companies within the network managed to supply 100% of UNICEF demand for their respective country. As local producers, these organizations are working to become the future partners in the implementation of the nutritional policies of their government.
Today, the PlumpyField® network comprises 11 members based in Central America, Africa, Asia, France and the United States.
