Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
My name is Aurore, I am 33 years old and I am Food Engineer specialized in R&D methods.
What has been your career in Nutriset?
I started at Nutriset in 2011 to work in R&D on extrusion project. Overtime, I have specialized in the R&D of new processes. In 2015 a dedicated department was created, which I integrated. Since 2016 I specialized in cooking-extruding vegetable raw materials. It's a project I've been working on since my arrival in 2011. In 2016 Nutriset decided to invest in this technology to continue its developments through the acquisition of a dedicated hall and a new manufacturing pilot line.
What's your job?
My job is to support or lead development projects related to extrusion. This can be for example the creation of new products, the development of local production units for extruded products, for example in Africa or Asia, respond to new customer requests improve existing products, etc. In terms of tasks, there are typical R&D engineer tasks: monitoring, design, implementation, protocol analysis, to identify the optimum process for the project needs. And I animate this pilot hall dedicated to extrusion.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Very good question! Thanks to this hall and all these new equipment, I hope to be able to further develop expertise on cooking-extrusion technology and on all other unit operations upstream and downstream. And having created a lot of new products related to extrusion and local manufacturing units, it would be great!
